I am an industrial engineer and started my career as an engineer at one of Turkey’s leading companies. Later, I transitioned to the marketing department, where I actively participated in various projects and worked in a managerial position for 14 years.
As part of my job, I attended and played an active role in organizing trade fairs in numerous countries. This experience allowed me to closely observe international business dynamics and collaborate with diverse cultures. After leaving the corporate world, I pursued my interest in financial markets by working as a trader, and I continue to operate as a financial consultant.
Driven by my passion for the education sector and my international experience, I founded Uçar Education Consultancy and Trade Inc. and launched the Unitedwords brand in Turkey.

I began my career in education as an English/French Teacher over 20 years ago and worked with various age groups.
I completed Professional Coaching Training approved by the ICF-International Coaching Federation and the University of Toronto. I had the opportunity to apply the techniques I learned both in the classroom and during individual sessions. I also worked on CIS-Council of International Schools accreditation processes.
I have served as the Technical Curriculum Coordinator at the institution I have worked with for many years. When I started working as an International Education Consultant in 2016, I began using all my accumulated knowledge in this field. I traveled to dozens of countries to visit universities and get to know the countries closely. I continue my travels to keep my knowledge up-to-date and to guide my students in the best possible way. I have organized numerous overseas university fairs and participated in many of them. As a result, I play an active role in helping hundreds of students gain admission to prestigious universities around the world.
I am well-versed in the expectations of IB and AP curricula at foreign universities, and I have also served as the SAT/PSAT and IELTS Exam Coordinator.

My journey in the field of education began with a passion for contributing to students' academic and personal development. As an English teacher, I did more than just teach a language; I also helped my students develop the skills they needed to integrate into the global world. Over time, in order to make a greater impact on shaping their futures, I transitioned into the field of international university counseling. Currently, I guide students in achieving their academic and career goals, assisting them in selecting the most suitable universities and programs. I provide comprehensive support throughout every stage of the international university application process—from motivation letters to interview preparation. Additionally, I design preparation programs for international exams such as IELTS and SAT, helping students succeed in these assessments.
To date, I have had the opportunity to work with more than 1,000 students from diverse age groups and backgrounds. I have held teaching, counseling, and administrative roles in prestigious private schools and educational institutions. I hold the IELTS Teacher Trainer Certificate awarded by the British Council. In my academic journey, I graduated from the American Culture and Literature department at Ege University and completed my Pedagogical Formation training at the same institution. I also hold a CELTA certificate accredited by the University of Cambridge.
Beyond my interest in education, I have a deep passion for music. I have been playing bass guitar and composing music for over 20 years. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, particularly baking and pastry-making. Additionally, I have a keen interest in basketball, jogging, and history. These artistic and academic pursuits help me build stronger connections with my students and inspire them.
I believe that every student has a unique story, and my goal is to help them write the best possible version of that story.
In my counseling process, I focus not only on academic success but also on personal development, ensuring that students grow into well-rounded individuals ready to take on the world.

With 20 years of experience in the education sector, I provide services to my students as an academician, consultant, and linguist in the field of Academic English. I continue to guide my students in their education and career paths through the education consultancy company I founded in London, UK, in 2007, and through the universities where I teach in the UK.
I completed my undergraduate education in English Language and Literature and successfully completed my master's degree in Turkish as a Foreign Language, focusing on comparative foreign language learning strategies. In the field of English language teaching, I hold internationally recognized qualifications such as the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) and DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults) accredited by the University of Cambridge in the UK, as well as Learning Technologies in EAP certificates from the University of Sheffield.
Since 2017, I have been teaching Academic English at King's College London, and since 2019, I have been teaching at Royal Holloway University of London. At these two institutions, I provide English language education to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students. With proficiency in English and Turkish languages and my experience in the field, I continue to provide consultancy services for undergraduate and postgraduate applications to overseas universities as well as academic research and writing. In addition to professional consultancy and education, my interests and areas of study include cognitive learning, technology in education, language acquisition and learning strategies, and raising multilingual children.
